« on: September 07, 2012, 11:07:18 am »
ok...i swear DD saw me posting about her long am naps & decided to show me who's boss!!!!

we moved the cot to the lowest setting this morning & she went in happily, fell asleep no problem but woke after 35-40 mins crying...tried to resettle her the past half hour but no joy.i have no left her playing happily in the cot with the curtains open!any advice about what i should do re next nap?we usually haev a 2hr nap (i have had to wake her from it recently) & then do 3hr A time until the next nap which was usually around 4pm ish for an hr max.i'll have to put her down early now, right?&shorten the A time?!

how old is she again hon? We actually never bothered to shorten the A time much, we found it wasn;t worth risking the UT... BUT- you can always shoot earlier and do an EBT to make up for the short nap...

(And- PS- Get a ticker, unless you are trying to be private- we love seeing how old your LOs are!)

would love to!!!i love them!!!!i've tried but i can't figure out how!!!!last time i checked, the instructions were still for the old website....
i chanced my arm & put her down at 3.20pm....that's after her waking at 11.30ish but me not actually getting her out of the cot until closer to 12.30ish...we didnt finish solids until 2.30pm so i didnt think i could lie her down much earlier.....fingers crossed she does some sort of decent nap now-went down fine so here's hoping!!!she'll prob wake as soon as i hit post!!!!
she's 7 months since the 16th....gosh...that means she's 8 mo on the 16th!!!!wow...i need to round the other way now!!!

i've tried but i can't figure out how!!!
Go to Lilypie webiste, follow the instructions to make a ticker then copy and paste BBCode into the signature box on your forum profile ;)

I found DD can manage round about the 3h mark after a 30-40 min am nap and most times does a decent pm on those days - hoping that's the case for you!

i think i'll be joinign you on the "will i ever figure out the naps" train!!!!today, had a 1hr 15 am nap, followed by 45 mins lpaying/chatting/moaning in the cot, then 45 mins sleep again!(little rascal fell asleep while i was downstairs making her bottle!)....then had to spend 25 mins getting her down for the pm nap...don't know whether she was UT going in & then ended up OT but we got a 30 min nap!ugh!!!hoping for a normal day tomorrow....is there such a thing!?!

Nope no such thing!! I did BW quiz again and it turns out my nb textbook angel is actually a spirited angel so maybe OS is culprit? I don't know think I'm clutching at straws as usual! I'm a scientist by profession I think that's why I'm so obsessed with her naps I keep thinking there must be a solution! Yes-baby's are unpredictable!! Lol

i know!what's that about!?!i'm a problem-solver by nature...hate not being able to figure things out!also hate when i don't havea predictable plan for my day!!!!you'd think after almost 8 months of unpredictability that i'd have learned..... :)
