banner ads at the bottom of the screen?

In the last couple of days I noticed that there seem to be banner ads at the bottom of every page I visit in BW.  And some of them talk to me when I open the page.  Is this happening to anybody else?

happening in both IE and firefox. 

attaching screenshots.... (and yes I know I keep a ridiculous number of tabs open!   :-[ :P ;D )

That looks like something on your machine - I don't see it on any of my machines. Do you see it on any other websites? Have you run a virus scan recently?

Nope, no ads here, but I have adblock installed too.

And my DH always tells me off about the number of tabs I have

ah ha...it would appear I had a little tagalong when I grabbed the YouTube downloader.  thought I had managed to escape them all, but guess not!  It would appear to be gone now.  ;)

Glad you found it :)

And Amanda, what does your DH have against tabs? If you can keep them somewhat organised, and you have enough memory on your computer, go for it I say.

I pretty much always have more than 25, sometimes more than 50. I haven't reached 100 yet :)

I think it's the sys admin in him.  Doesn't like stuff using more memory than it needs to
