Looong night wakings almost 15 months
« on: November 25, 2012, 22:55:06 pm »
I guess more or less I an looking for support and suggestions.. My daughter is an independent sleeper, and has been since 8 months. She has never really sleep well though. Recently we have stopped night time bf. and only do one bf before bed. She does use a soother.. Goes to bed at 8 about 5 hours then up for 2, she eventually goes back to sleep On her own and during that 2 hours cryies on and off, sits up rolls, crys, sits up, lays down, crys. You can tell she's tired and wants to sleep, but can't settle.. After about 1.5 hr she crys loud, oubviously mad she can't get back to sleep, this is when I do walk in walk out, but most of the time she will only go to sleep while I'm still in her room. Last. Ight I broke down and bf to see if it wouldnt put her back to sleep faster but it didn't work she still stayed up for the 2 hours. I think she has started the teething bout for canine teeth, and I do give her Tylenol now before bed and during the wake up. But this isn't helping :(

What is her day like in terms of EASY hun?  Could be a routine issue that just needs a little tweaking...

As for teething, Advil/Motrin are far better than Tylenol ;)  That said, if it makes no difference in her sleep pattern, I don't think it's pain related.
