11 month old fussy while feeding

In the past few days 11 month old DS has been fussy and pulled off during feeding after just a few minutes (maybe 2 or 3 mins) -- any ideas on why this may be?

He usually eats like 5 minutes a side. He does still eat frequently (like 6-8 BF a day and 2-3 smaller solid food meals), maybe he is just starting to self-wean?

He has 6 teeth and didn't do this with any of those coming in. I think he may be working on molars, maybe this is related?

I took a pregnancy test to be sure as I read babies don't like the taste of your milk if you are pregnant. I just got my first PPAF earlier this month so not sure when I would have been ovulating but would guess I am like 11 dpo so kinda early for a test to show positive anyways. I don't think I am and think it's something else.

As for my supply, I think it's fine. After he pulls off, I can squeeze out milk easily but maybe this is the issue?

Oh who knows, any insight would be much appreciated!

What's the weather like where you are at the moment?  I know that sounds like a weird question, but if it's quite warm it could be he's having short drinks to keep fluids up.

On the other hand, like you said, it could be teeth.  Molars can cause different issues to incisors.

Are the 6-8 feeds when he's asking for milk or are they somehow planned into the day?  If he had fewer, he might start feeding for longer.

All that said, my DD's feeds have got gradually shorter as time has gone by.  It's always tough to tell what's going on, but you know your baby better than anyone else :)

And I've also heard from some ladies that when AF returns, the taste of milk changes as well.

Thanks! It's getting chilly here so I don't think that is it. He is doing this less and less. I almost wonder if when I am feeding him often, it takes longer for my milk to let down and he is fussy? I have been trying to go longer between feeds and most days he does not fuss anymore so maybe that was it or just a new thing he felt like doing for a few days. No new teeth yet...

Glad it's getting better -- sometimes things like that happen and we can never figure out why.  :)
