I also thought OT with restless sleep but how could he be OT at BT when yesterday was

WU 0550
A 4hr05
S 0955-1125
A 3hr10 was acting hyper at 2hr55 so I thought OT although that is a really low A for his age right?
S 1435-1605 in my arms
A 2hr30
BT 1835 restless all night and chatting waking up almost every 2 hrs from BT

Could he really be OT? Seems weird!... Don't you think?

If it was only the last few days maybe I would take it as the start of a wonder week but this has been going on since about November.... I am so confused!

Just trying to think of different possibilities... When we were on vacation he did 3hr A's and we had good naps. Night were bad but he was teething and sick so I can't really take that into account. You said his A's might have been so low because of OS but we were visiting family for 3 weeks and stayed at the same house the whole time with the same people. Do you think OS could still be a factor the whole time? Is it possible that he actually is on the low end of A times or that he is extremely OT from the last 3 months and he actually needs a 3hr A in the morning? Could he be crashing with the 4 hr A and that is why I am getting a good nap?

It's possible - have you tried the 3h A since you got back?

Tried 3hr A this morning. 20 min nap so I guess I got my answer for that!

Yesterday and last night wasn't bad actually

WU 0550
A 4hr05
S 0955-1115
A 2hr35
S 1350-1510
A 3hr45
BT 1855
NW 1940 shout out but resettled
NW 0100 BF
WU 0525  :'(

So I am guessing he was just a bit OT because of the shout out. Aren't his A times strange?  Such a. Long morning then such a short one right after and then 3.5hrs in the middle?
All in all 10.5 hr night not bad but he has been in a bad mood all day acting very tired. And now with this bad 20 min nap I am worried our whole day has gone down the drain. I don't know how long of an A to do now considering his second one is usually so short...

Also how do I get him to sleep later than 0530?

Went out for a walk for the first time since DS was sick last week. Fell asleep in the stroller at 1055 and it has now been 2hrs and he is still asleep. I will have to wake him in the next 15 min. I guess the only way to get to BT is with another CN. Do you thinking let him nap later for a little longer and make BT around 1930 I have a chance of getting a later wake up? I know he needs at least 11 hrs of sleep to be happy plus I am not so excited about 0530 WU. I can live with 0600  ::) (although I would prefer 0630-0700)

How do I shift his day later considering he already usually goes to bed at 1900.

You might get a later wakeup but I'd bet it would still be a short night - that would make his day way over 13h long which isn't going to help him with OT   :-\. I guess you are going to need a CN.....I'd make it short and have him asleep for the night by 6/6.30 latest.  Or, do you have to wake him from his nap now?  Could you not just let him sleep as long as he wants and then do super EBT?  If he goes to bed less OT he's likely to sleep later in the morning........even if he still wakes at 5.30 he'll have had way more night sleep and be in a better position for you to push A times than if he'd gone to bed at 7.30pm and still woken at 5.30am- what do you think?

Well he woke at 1305 so 2hr10 nap. I guess I'll do a short CN then...like 20 min around 1600? Then bed around 1800?

So then what's next? I will be going back to what has been working

First A 4hr10 ~
Second A 2hr45 ~
Third A 3hr30

But how do I move WU later? D you think he is waking at 0530 because he is OT or because of too much day sleep?

I would say more likely OT - he's not getting an excessive amount of day sleep and his nights are 10.5h which always happens here when DD is OT.  I wonder if your first A is too long for him at the moment, and that's actually giving you an OT nap, which is why the second A is so short?  Would he go down a bit earlier, say 3h30?

Whatever you decide, A times or set naps, you need to stick to the same thing for a week to see if its working before making more changes.

He is in an amazingly good mood since his 2hr10 nap. Hasn't been this happy in a while...

I want to stick to this routine since it is the only one that is working but the days come out to be too long. If I shorten a nap I don't know how much to shorten the next A

For example if he wakes tomorrow at 0530 again

WU 0530
A 4hr15
S 0945-1115
A 2hr45
S 1400-1530
A 3hr30
S 1900

CN was totally refused so had no choice but EBT. Asleep at 1720. I am so scared of the time he will get up tomorrow...
