1 year old has not STTN yet.....
« on: January 25, 2013, 03:07:12 am »
My 1 year old so. Routine looks like this

7:30am wake up bottle
8:30am breakfast cereal and fruit
10:00-11:30 nap
12:00 bottle
12:30 lunch
2:40-3:15 nap
4:30 bottle and snack
5:30 dinner
7:00 bed time routine tried feeding bottle usually only takes 2 oz sometimes refused
7:40 asleep
(two nights ago)
1-1:30am wake up quick to resettle
3:30am wake up might be quick to resettle or would stay up and fuss for 1hr)
4:30-600 S
6:00-6:30 fussed used PUPD
6:30am-7:30am S

------------
Last night he did a long stretch 7:45pm -3:30am. Longest he has ever slept.
-------------
He is 12.5 months old. He is also going through the transition of 2 to 1 nap.
I have been partially cosleeping with him in the past  One week ago I stopped that and also weaned him from breastmilk. Now he would take bottle of formula ( he is allergic to cow milk).  The first 3-4 nights were
difficult to settle him. Now he would settle but wakes up within 20 min some day. Do you think If hunger
is keeping him from falling asleep deeply.  Should I introduce a dreamfeed at 10:30-11 before I go to bed?  Or keep doing what I am doing? How to introduce dream feed?  I have not get a full night of sleep for over a year now. I am neglecting my DD (5 yr old).  Please help.

sorry we missed this...how are things now?
Ok well at this age he should not need a night feed so I would avoid that. If he is eating well in the day with 3 meals a couple of snacks that should be fine.
I wonder if he might be a bit OT tbh as he is doing a long A time after only a 35 min nap. I also think you need to push the first A tie out a little so how about trying this.
A - 7.30am
Nap - 11-12.30pm
Nap - 4-4.30pm
BT - 7.30/8pm
At this age we do not recommend PUPD but instead we use WIWO. Are you familiar with this? If not I can post a link.

Hi yingel,

Just popping on to lend my support. How have things been for you the last couple of days? I agree with Becky that it would be worth lengthening that first A time and hopefully that together with a shorter A before bedtime will help significantly.

Becky and Buttonbobs:

Thank you for the replies. I did not check this board for a couple of days.   DS is doing better.  I think he has learned to fall back asleep on his own. He is back to his two nap routine.  Before he was probably wired and overtired from all the training. (Yes I have been doing the WI WO. I did PUPD initially.)
He only slept until 7am one day on Jan 28 and the subsequent days he is waking up between 5:30-6 am and would not go back to sleep. When I feed him at 7am sometimes he would fall asleep for another hour.

Thank you for the support.
