Feel terrible - left to cry
« on: February 13, 2013, 13:18:31 pm »
Hi,

How do you do it? I just had to put my dd1 (aged 2) down for her nap for the first time being on my own. I had already been trying to get dd2 (3 weeks) off to sleep before I took dd1 up but was failing!

So I put dd2 in her cot while I put dd1 down. This takes at least five minutes as we have to get her in her bag, read a book, sing a song... During this time I could hear dd2 screaming and screaming and it was horrible! She actaully eventually fell asleep during this time but still, I felt terrible knowing she was screaming so much!

What do you do? I really couldnt see another option without neglecting dd1 which I dont want to do either!

K x

Could you pop DD2 in a sling so that she's close to you but you still have your hands free for DD1?
