Hey there ladies.

Just after your thoughts really - my DD is 20m old. We've had a set nap time and BT for a while now and on the while I'd say it was working. Having come out the other end of 18m SR (I still have the scars  ;)) we are still getting some NW anytime between 3-4.30. I gave been putting it down to the pesky cainines. She will sometimes just toss and turn, sometimes chat and sometimes be 'Moaning'. I quite often have given her meds at silly o'clock. All that said.  I was just wondering whether the morning A is too long and she's a little OT hence causing the NW? Her day looks something like this:

 WU: .6-7am (fairly inconsistent)
Nap:12.30-2.45 (capped)
BT: 7pm (ptb@6.50/55)

So what do you reckon?

Many thanks in advance x

*bumping up* and I guess updating - we're getting shorter nights now. The last 2 nights we've have EW with 10h nights - 10h nights  are usually OT here????

How about letting her sleep at her nap instead of capping? Canines are really bad, hey.

Thanks Anna. Yep they are and they seem to take forever to cut, although I'm not sure if they're currently causing the EW issues if that makes sense?

Yesterday she was so tired she fell asleep in the high chair eating her lunch at 11.50!!! And today with the EW I got my MIL to put her down at 12. She had to be woken at 2.15 and wasn't happy! I put her to bed at 6.30 (asleep by 6.40) so let's see what tonight brings!

A couple of questions....

When you say not to cap - do mean quite literally just let her sleep or set a max time if that makes sense?

Also working with an uncapped nap would you stick to the set Nap time (12.30) or push it back say to 12 to avoid letting her sleep to late in the afternoon?

Thanks x

Yeh, if she's OT then letting her sleep at her nap would seem like a good way to get past it? I think you can do either way, bring nap forwards for a few days, or leave it as it is. There are no set rules here, it's just a question of figuring out what works for your LO!

Thanks for that. I think given that again today she was falling asleep eating her lunch (before 12) I'm going to have to pull the nap back earlier for a few days and see how that pans out. I
Am mindful that pulling the nap earlier could perpetuate EW but to be honest I'm at the stage where I'll try anything - we're all tired and its making us do very miserable. Ruby was beside herself getting ready for bed tonight, just do horrible to see. Probably not helped by me bring dead on my feet!!

Anyway, thanks for taking the time and for the advice, I'll let you know how it goes  :)
