transitioning to 4-hr easy
« on: March 28, 2013, 15:37:47 pm »
I've  been transitioning my 5-mth twins to a 4 hr easy the last couple of weeks (they were 3.5 weeks early) and have been moving in 10 minute increments. It's been going well and they are adjusting, but I'm surprised at how much they're easting now that they're on a 3hr 50min routine. At 3hr 40min they were consistently eating 800 - 870 ml in a day. and Overnight, on the 3hr 50min they gone to 920 - 960 ml. last night my DD took over 1,000ml.

I'm taking time to adjust since they're refluxers  (add 10 mins every 5-7 days) and I don't want to push them too much. I'm going to move them to 4 hr in the next day or so.

I'm not too concerned, but just so surprised that they've all of the sudden increased their feeds that much. Is this "normal"?

Normal considering that they have been growing the whole time as well so intake is bound to increase :)
