How can i get 5wk to go longer than 2hrs between feeds
« on: April 12, 2013, 02:27:25 am »
Hi, I am new to this forum, and am loving it!
I am breastfeeding my 5 week old DS.  He was eating every 3 hours the first week and a half, but then went to eating every 2 hrs, and now I can't get him to go longer between daytime feeds.  Nighttime feeds are every 2.3-3hrs.
I'd like to get him on an EASY schedule, but would prefer to have him eat every 3hrs.

Welcome!  At 5w it wouldn't be unusual for a LO to need to feed a bit more often than 3 hourly.  It could also be that you've hit the 6w growth spurt a little bit early which would account for feedings being a bit closer together at the moment.
