Weaning off dream feed
« on: April 12, 2013, 04:53:34 am »
hi everyone
so I've bee following the tips on how to wean off dreamfeed. so far I've pushed the dreamfeed from 10:30 to 8:30 in the past month and a half.
it seems like he's not quite ready to drop it entirely as he starts to fuss at around 11pm - I've been successful w/ the pu/pd and shush.
I didn't give him the dreamfeed tonight so cross fingers.  but if he doesn't make it thru the night tonight, should I go back to dreamfeed?

my ds is almost 8.5 mos. but he's kind of a big boy.  23 lbs and long.
any advice will help. thx

At 8.5m, it's perfectly reasonable to expect him to have either a DF or a NF (or both).

good to know
but my plan is to wean him off the df. and yes he still has a nf.
he fussed a bit a couple times in the night. but he made it to 7am.

my concern was on whether he was ready or not.

thx

I dropped the df before the night feed with one of mine, it worked well.  Dropped the df around 9 months, he dropped the nf around 11.  :)  He was huge as well.
