10mth old 30 min naps
« on: April 13, 2013, 10:52:35 am »
My 10 month old has been taking 30min naps for about 2 months now. Occasionally she'll sleep about an hour, but usually its right on 30mins. She gets very tired and grumpy throughout the day so I know she needs more sleep.

This is her typical day.

7:00 - wake, breakfast
9:30 - breastfeed
10:00 - nap 30mins
12:00 - lunch
1:30 - breastfeed
2:00 - nap 30mins
3:00 - snack
5:30 - dinner
6:00 - bath, breastfeed
6:30 - asleep
4:00 - 5:00 breastfeed and back to sleep.

She settles herself to sleep fine, won't take a dummy and won't let me feed her back to sleep after a short nap. Surely she's not ready for one nap already?

HELP!!!

I'd try bringing her pm nap earlier - to 1 or even 12.30 - and see if that gets you a longer nap.
