12 week old only drinking 2.5 to 3oz every 2.5 to 3 hours.

Hi all

Am back, my little ones feeding is all over the place.
She sufferers with reflux and is on gaviscon
I struggle to get her to take her milk, she takes 1 to 2 oz just fine, I then struggle to get anymore in to her

We use Dr brown bottles and still stage one teats. We moved up to stage two but they seemed to make her even more uncomfortable and she still wasn't taking anymore from the feed, so we went back down

Any thoughts?

I would say that the reflux needs more than gaviscon. Taking a 1-2oz and refusing more is typical reflux behaviour. The infant gaviscon doesn't do anything to control or reduce the acid, it only helps to keep the stomach contents down.

You need to take her back to the GP and push for more to be done for her, see if you can get a paediatrician referral if the GP won't prescribe meds.
