Giving up on nap attempt today - eek, what to do?
« on: September 19, 2013, 12:56:32 pm »
Won't go into all the details now but DDs routine is a bit of a mess (thanks nursery.....). She's OT and been night waking and messing around at nap and bedtime for a while.  Today she has been messing about for the best part of 1.5h refusing her nap (tried a touch later nap due to previous refusals - major backfire!), now I'm pretty sure just OT and delirious.  But I have to go out so I'm about to get her up now......

So, what do I do for the rest of the day?  (WU was 6.30ish)  Hope she falls asleep in the car for a catnap then aim for 6/6.30 BT, or failing that 5/5.30pm BT?  Ugh, this is all a mess at the moment :( :(

Hugs Katherine.

We've had days like that withE too. I just tend to go for a car nap in the afternoon and then do a slightly earlier or normal BT. E manages wel with shorter naps and likes to then keep BT the same, with the CN just taking the edge off.

Thanks for the hugs Naomi.  To be honest I'm really struggling with things being so unsettled at the moment so the support is very much appreciated :-*. Will hope she drops off for a bit while we're out then shoot for EBT and see what happens x

Didn't go to sleep in the car so is now plonked on the floor in front of a DVD while I unpack the shopping ::)

The earliest I've ever done BT is 5.30pm, usual is 6.45/7ish.  She has in the past tacked on pretty well.....just not sure if I'm brave enough to do 5pm!

What time was she up? C's always been a late riser and tacked pretty well so I'd have done 6pm BT but then C would sleep until after 8.

Hugs this stage is hard and just when you think the tweaking is all over eh?! :-*
