Hugs Nini, I think it sounds like she is getting sick Hun. :-\ maybe a virus or something? Get her ears checked, a virus or infection could cause discomfort and increased gas. :-*

Honestly Hun, I think if you have eliminated all the main stuff and she is still unwell then it's worth either getting a dietitian on board if you want to keep bf, or asking your dr/ped for a trial of something lie, neocate, and you can pump. Some LOs just can't tolerate much at all (like my T he was terrible!)

I couldn't give up coffee either :-*

Aw huge (((hugs))) Nini....I hope the dr tomorrow can help! Do you think the gas could be sickness related? If so I would wait a bit before going the formula route and see.

She has bilateral "really red" ears, but her tympanic membranes aren;t bulging, so we are holding off on Abx. She slept better last night than she has been.

The Ped. thought a trial of an elemental formula was a good idea but recommended waiting until this illness has completely past.

Did I hear that advice some where before??? ;) ;) ;)

And I just found out that beer has gluten. I was having one beer occasionally at night after DD's BT time feed!

So I have been dairy, soy, and egg free for almost a month, wheat and gluten free for almost a week. She is over her really sickness, now with a runny nose and cough. I would like to start the process, or a least the plan, of re-introducing foods. Her gas has def. improved as of the last couple of days. Is there a specific way I should do it?

Hmmm which did you elim first? I have no intention of adding things back in for now, I am a chicken! So far I have cut dairy, soy (but not hidden), and beef and things are good but hard to tell now as she had her vax and is cranky but who knows what from??

I would be tempted to go all out and drink a small glass of milk as an example to see what rxn happens as then you know.

I almost did just that this morning!

I eliminated in this order: dairy, soy, egg, wheat and gluten

I would intro back in the same order but really space it out so you can be sure what is what.  Hopefully only one or two of those is the issue!!

I 'think' but correct me if I'm wrong Heidi that the top 3 intolerant foods for infants are milk, soy, wheat/gluten in that order. So I'd probably personally try to reintroduce eggs first. Plus eggs are such a versatile of old YK? Would mean you can have a lot more... :-\

Yup that is true, egg is the least likely suspect statistically speaking. Did you cut dairy/soy/egg all at once or gradually? I was thinking whichever has been longest to do first and for sure leave off gluten for longest as it is a recent cut.

I did Milk, then soy, and then egg on a day when I had egg salad and thought maybe it's that.
