Do you know why babies wake up ar 5:30am?
« on: September 26, 2013, 00:32:41 am »
Every book, website, and article I have ever read about babies and sleep, claims that babies usually wake up at 5:30am for 15-20min and then go back to sleep. Does any one know the reason? When does it stop? I'm really curious because my DD just starting doing it. Thanks

How old is she?  What time does she go to bed?

She will be 4 months on the 30th. In bed by 7:30pm and falls asleep in about 10-15min.

I think it's just a natural time to stir awake. I 'think' we all cycle in and out of light and deep sleep but newborns and small babies re in a lighter sleep come the early hours of the morning. Hence why they often wake. Another reason is hunger, and also light/outside noises etc
