Ok so i pd at bt 6.10 -tono late i think. I had to.shush her to sleep by 7

so i guess she is that sensitive to ot... ::)

Before all the shenanigans she was on this routine

Wu 6.30/7
a 5h20
nap 2h15
A 4/4.5h
Bt 6.30/7

what worked.a few.times recently has been

Wu 6/6.30
set nap 12.30-3 resettled at 1.5h
Pm.a upto 4h
Bt 7

Today

Wu 6.20
nap 12.25-2.25
Pm a 4.5h
Bt 6.55 clearl.ot tho...

does anything jump out? i need a.plan to figure out this pm a if nap is shorter than 2.5h Since set bt and 4h Pm a.time isnt working...should i.shave off the.time from pm.a.that she lost from nap so today on a 2h nap.should have.gone for 3.5h A time.rather than 4? wdyt? anyone elses lo.so touchy with sleep?

hmmm. this is tricky, huh?  here are a couple thoughts I had.  Obviously you know you're LO best! Just kind of thinking out loud for you.

- do you think there's a chance she was actually UT at bedtime and because she didn't settle right away, she worked herself into an OT state?  My DD has been known to do this...  Just thinking that 4/4.5 hr A is on the lower end for Los on 1 nap, so anything below that is really low, kwim?

- i'm wondering more about these unsettled naps.  Is this normal for her to need resettling? any chance of discomfort waking her?  you also said you heard her during the night but she ss.  Is this all normal OT behavior for her or could there be something else going on?

- was your routine before set times working pretty well?  you might just want to go back to that routine until her OT has settled down, then gently nudge her into a set nap time if that's what you're really after.

HTH a bit.  Sorry things have been loopy.

Her routine from before went wonky which was why i wanted to try set times...

Dk if she was ut and became ot last night-usually when ut she chatters and sings before falling asleep...and ss at night Is normal for her...she wakes when ut or ot and ss at night....

Re naps the resettling is cos shes ot...6h A to set nap is too long for her. She is teething top canines but i give her meds before nap and at bt....when shes not ot she will nap between 2-3hrs...

She woke on And off from 5.40 (awake by 6) so tbh i dk what to do today...i have nursery run with ds at 11.15 which is why i went for set nap but that doesnt seem to be working either....

Poor bub - she sounds exhausted. I guess the only thing to do is get as much sleep in her as possible.  Is there any chance she'd do a short a.m cat nap to take the edge off til after nursery run when you can give her a proper nap? Maybe 15 mins in the stroller?  Or could she start her nap in the car at 11"15, then transfer to the cot? (I could never do this with DD, but I know some can)

Lol no chance. I was so afraid of creating same props with dd as ds.that she only sleeps in a cot with blackout and white noise ::) ::)

i did early lunch for.dd and picked ds up at 11. i pd dd at 11.20 and assume she was asleep by 11.30 (it takes about 10min to suck on Lovey and fall asleep). Shes still asleep and its 1.50 now....will let her sleep as long as she wants and decide bt from there...

I really need a workable plan tho!

Wow! That's great. Maybe you do need to chase those A times a bit longer :-\ Maybe stick with those for now and move to set naps more so when her routine stabilises to almost set times anyway rather than trying to set her when the routine goes haywire.

^^ agree.

When her routine stabilises, you can gently nudge her to your desired times.  Very slowly, I think, since she gets so OT.  Like, in 10 min. increments every several days.

Yay for the long night! Bet you are both feeling good today.
