« on: October 24, 2013, 18:40:38 pm »
DF worked brilliantly with DD1,so we'll give it a go with
DD2.i cant remember when we started with DD1though! ::)
when would you think?is it too soon?
she is gaining weight well.PHN said that i didnt have to
wake her at night, but not to let her go more than 5
hours without a feed.
we had a horrendous night lst night-awake&crying from
11-5am with no proper feeds or sleep,so im dreading
tonight.

It's up to you when you want to start.  I could never get it to work with DS or DD... :-\

I think I started around the time when I actually started settling them for sleep earlier -- in those first weeks, they're pretty much up for all those evening hours anyway, but once you get to the point where you're actually settling them for bed at a decent time, then you can try the df a few hours later to try to head off the next feed, yk?

I think I started around 2-3 weeks with DD1& 2 but DD3 had other ideas and would never stir for a feed even after multiple tries at different times. Plus she ditched all her NF's a month ago anyways. Weird baby, but in a good way!

Yeah, we never manage to do things quite on target...she can go 3.5/4 hours between feeds but seems to need five feeds all jammed in a 12 hour day so our times are always wonky and have been all along! But it all works out in the end.
