Morale support required for sush pat method
« on: November 14, 2013, 18:42:57 pm »
Hi - my baby is now 12 weeks and has been on EASY for last few weeks. The issue I have is teaching her to sleep as every nap in the day and at 3/4 am each morning I have to use SUSH PAT to get her to sleep. I have her in a sleep bag as its really warm for the cold nights but apart from that I follow each of the wind down routine steps. Every time I do sush and pat she will fall asleep and I continue for 20 - 30 mins however she generally will wake up 40 mins later at night and sooner during the day. Im worried that im not doing sush pat correctly so any advice/ success would me much appreciated!
Thank you!

Sorry your post got missed! Lets see if we can help. Whats her routine during the day? Do you want to post a couple of days for us so that we can have a guess at whether that could be contributing to things? So when does she wake, when does she nap etc.. How exactly are you doing sshpat? How long are you doing it for? If you could describe how exactly you get her to sleep for naps and bedtimes that would help. I would keep in mind thought that she is still so young and a lot of little ones don't get the hand of self settling and resettling independently til they are a bit older and need quite a bit of support until then. The fact that you are able to get her to sleep in her cot with a little sshpat is brilliant at this age, well done.
