My 20 week old baby sleeps through the night usually from 7-7 ( I do hear him at times awake in crib just cooing but he ajways falls back asleep )but I've ajways had problems with naps. It seems as though he only needs one nap 2 hrs after waking which is usually 2 hrs can be less at times. Then he will take 2 more 30 min catnaps. Usually about 2 hrs 30 min after waking. Lately he's starting to resist them. He will start to cry as I near his room and he will cry wheh I lay him in crib. He will usually fall asleep within a few minutes but he's really fighting it. I've also foubd that normally I can try to calm him befire puttibg him down by just holding him and rubbing his back but now it's almost making it worse. I find that it just extends the tantrum and if I just put him in crib whike he's crying and then shh pat he will eventually calm down and fall asleep. I used to keep a firm hand on his chest too for a minute until he was asleep but same thing.. I find that it's a better result if I don't. Any suggestions? Should I extend his awake time? When I do put him down he's fussy and not happy, I'm not puttibg him down while he's still smiley happy and playful. Thanks
