Does anyone know break-down of Membership?

In answer to a query put forth by a member, I asked Simon and Schuster about the availability of the book in the UK. So I wrote to them:
 
On amazon UK, it mentions Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing (1 May 2014) under the publisher heading so maybe that is when it will come out over here.

Can you tell me what's happening?  We have 80,000 of Tracy's biggest fans on the site and while not all of them are active, many, many are looking forward to this book.

Apparently, the US publisher is still talking to Ebury, who published the 3 earlier books in the UK.  The person who handles foreign licenses assured me, "No matter what happens, the book will be available in the UK and all over the world in English." She also wondered if I could find out:

Do you know how many of the 80,000 are in the UK, South Africa, Australia/NZ? 

Anyone know?

Good idea.  Where would you suggest that I post it?  The Lounge? 

I don't want people to think I'm tracking them or hounding them, though!  On the other hand, it could convince a UK publisher to pick up the license, which I think would mean that the book would cost less in the UK (but, honestly, I'm not sure how it works!)

Lounge is probably your best bet. You can explain why the poll exists, and folks can decide if they want to participate or not. :)

but, looking at your poll, I'd say the responses are fairly proportional.  North America and the UK are our largest populations, followed by Aus/NZ.  I can think of a couple members who were from south africa....nobody active now.

I have no idea how accurate it is but when searching for the emergency site during yesterday's outage I came across this site which seems to track usage of websites and bw was there.  It only shows the percentage of visitors from usa and Canada but I thought it might be useful. http://www.thatweb.com/www/babywhispererforums.com

I have no idea if this is the case with others but I know when I became a member (over 2.5yrs ago) I only ever had time to look at the boards relating to the difficulties I was having at the time.  Then I became a mod and only had time to mod my board and visit the mod board for any important messages. I literally didn't have time to venture elsewhere on the site or to 'socialise' and wouldn't have seen or taken part in a poll.  I'm sure there must be a lot of active members who just don't have time to browse the threads, too busy posting about their problems, posting to help others with problems or taking care of their LOs.

Ali, thanks for that. It's very interesting.  I suspect that it's around 50-50 UK and US, or pretty close.

Creations, I'm sure you're right.  Going online for all of us is a time drain and busy parents, especially moms, barely have any time!
