Should I settle into my EASY for now?
« on: January 02, 2014, 19:52:16 pm »
Hi!

My DS will be 28 weeks tomorrow (about 6.5 months).

He sleeps from 7:30pm to 7am (although he is sometimes awake but quiet at 6:30 or later)

Our EASY is looking like this:

7 up, diaper feed breastmilk and solids
9:30ish nap  (1.5 hours)
11 up, diaper feed breastmilk and solids
2:30ish nap (1.5 hours)
4 up, diaper, feed breastmilk and solids
6:45 or 7 feed breastmilk
7:30 bed

At what point do I stop pushing the awake time... seems like there is a point that pushing wake time will eventually mess up bedtime...

We don't have any NW (rare maybe twice crying in the last 3 months) but just recently his naps have had some crying in the middle but he resettles and goes back to sleep.  We just started solids 5 days ago.  2 nights ago, he refused his DF and since we are able to feed him later now (7 vs. 6) we dropped the DF altogether and he has done fine with no NW.

I'm not sure how to proceed with the EASY at this point.  Thanks!

The rule re pushing A times is that you do it when there is a problem, yk? For example, when naps start to be UT, when there is EW, when there are UT NW and so on.
If everything works well for you right now then I wouldn't push A times anymore. If any of the above starts to happen then it would be time to push them gradually again.

Perfect advice... and i think I spoke too early on his afternoon naps... the last two or three have been only about 1 hour and 5 minutes with no resettling... so it might be time to push the A time right before that nap?
