"Used" Breast Milk
« on: January 28, 2014, 14:07:10 pm »
I pumped a 3.5oz bottle yesterday, warmed (just barely warm)  it up at 7:15pm last night, DD only took 1.5 oz. I put it right back in refrigerator. Can I  warm up the 2oz one more time tonight?

Kelly Mom's website is a great tool for this. Me personally, I don't want to waste any drop of milk that takes so long and so much energy to make. People have told me to not do that, but I always taste and smell the milk before I use any of it. If it smells and tastes fine, it's fine to me.

For my milk, it tastes sweet. If it smells like sour milk (and I have noticed the difference!) then it has gone bad. You'll know when it shouldn't be used.  ;)
