Settling techniques
« on: May 01, 2014, 20:47:54 pm »
So as a FTM, I don't have a good arsenal of settling techniques when LO wakes early from a nap (which is happening more and more lately). I rock him in the rock n play or try shushing but he usually looks at me like, "it's party time mama."

What techniques do y'all use that I can try out?? :-)

Hi

How old is you LO? It sounds like he needs a little more awake time before the nap as he is simply not tired enough to sleep for longer.

Ok, he gets grouchy about 60 minutes after waking. He's 12 weeks. I'll try to see if it helps tomorrow!

Average awake time for a 3 month old is 1.20-1.30 min. At this age even 10 min can make a difference, so try extending the awake time by 10-15 min for a few days and see how it goes.
