:( bless her (and you for that matter!)

Maths is not my strong point but based on what you said yesterday A is 32m or so is that right? I only ask as at around 33/34m we had some super sleep shenanigans. She took forever to go to sleep and then would ew. There wasn't much I could do about it as I found. R was still napping (though we had a few nap refusal days) so that eased the pain a little but we did have to ride it out. I just couldn't understand it as R was obviously shattered and where she'd normally be out like a light, it almost felt like she fighting sleep come what may. What I did find what that she had a language explosion soon after.

I'm not suggesting it's the same for A, just some food got thought of our experience at this age.

I hope things improve soon xx

Yep 32 months old. Maybe that's what's going on.

She's still talking about spiders today poor love she really got a fright. I think this is probably developmental? Has been a very active day, she will be exhausted,  thinking early tea then into pjs and a long wind down for bed at 7 and hope to heaven she's forgotten about being scared to go in her cot.

I know it's more work, but you could get her to help you strip her bed and re- make it so she can make sure/see that there are no spiders in her bed?

I can... But I'm also kind of wary of reinforcing the idea that they are something to be afraid of, yk?

Sure, I just meant if she was still fussing when she went to bed or even as a more casual thing (without expressly referring to the spider).

Yes, thank you! No more spider fears, and she's been sleeping well with a slightly later bedtime.
