16 month old starting to have tantrum when put into bed
« on: August 19, 2014, 11:48:20 am »
Hi my dd is 16 months old and she has started to throw tantrums and cry when she's put in her cot for her nap.  She will normally wake up around half 6 but recently its been more like 5.30.  She will nap at about 12 for 2 hours and then bed at 7.  Do you think her nap is too early in the day?

Hi!

I wouldn't have said that 12 was remarkably early at 16m from a 6.30am
WU. I'm just wondering if it's a bit late. Do you think that tr naps a bit of a push for her she's OT which is why she's behaving as she is?

I suppose sometimes she starts rubbing her eyes earlier but i always wait until after shes had her lunch.  Do you think i should try 11.30? She only has one nap and normally its for 2 hrs so if she woke at 1.30 she would have 5 and a half hrs to bed.  Should i do cn maybe? Been so long since she did that though.

Iiwm I'd try 11.30 for 3-5days. I wouldn't do a CN, instead I'd opt for EBT. Once things have settled a bit, push the nap out to 11.45 (and BT too) hold for 3-5days, and see how things are going.
