clicking noise when feeds from bottle?
« on: September 16, 2014, 17:41:37 pm »
Ds is EBF but we have started to do his df from a bottle so I can go to bed when he does and get a few hrs...He's still up every 2 at night so dh said he'd do df for me bc I'm exhausted. When he feeds from the bottle it's like he is clicking his tongue.  I remember hearing it is cause bc the flow is too fast or too slow but I can't remember.  It didn't seem to bother him but I'm afraid it will turn into one with gad or something....anyone know what it is? ?

It could be the flow is too slow for him, but if you are BF it's better to stick to a slow flow. Does your bottle have a vari-flow teat? That may be worth a try as the baby controls them by how hard they suck. Does he have a tongue tie - that can make them click while feeding.

It was a medium flow nipple, and he doesn't have a tongue tie that I'm aware of...He bf with no problems.
