Honestly I have no idea what to do, nothing im trying is working here, its like night time torture. He is 13 months and he has never SSTN in fact the longest ever stint of sleep was 4.5 hours and that was rare.

So we are trying one nap days and this is what this looks like

8.00 wu
12.59nap-2.50
7.40BT

He was up at 9.40 and is in bed with me now when he woke he stood up in his cot and fell so he was so upset. He settled for BT ok a bit of crying but nothing major. I dont know what else to do.
I have looked at alternative routines where some have introduced an earlier nap in the am , is tjis something worth a try? Honestly we have pretty much tried everything the result is still the same he doesn't sleep well at night :((((((

Hi hun sorry didn't get chance to reply! How was last night?
That was quite a good length nap on a 1 nap day, do you think might have been UT at BT? I know for us a 1.5/2 hour nap required a 13 hour day. x

Oh my goodness, bless you Honey, that's hard to bear :( I wonder if he would sleep better in a toddler bed, I know for some including a friend of mine, it made a huge difference. Her LO just never liked his cot, I seem to remember she put him on the floor on a mattress when he started to climb, and lo and behold he STTN for the first time  :o Maybe even a 3/4 bed or a double if his room is large, obviously with safety rails. I know he's young, so it's just food for though. I agree that day looks good, I hope you have touched on something that brings success.

x.

The thing is it is so difficult to read him, as all toddlers he just wants to go on all day and play, he very rarely shows signs of tiredeness like yawning or eye rubbing.
Sammysmammy honestly i considered everything but he doesnt sleep any better with me in a double bed. His cot bed transforms into a toddler bed, so it might be something we will do once his room is redecorted mid december.

And now we are back to childminder days and MIL had him yesterday.
So yesterday went like this:

7.20
10.15-11.45
4-5
8.50

Plenty of sleep during the day, but he was so not ready for bed and struggled to fall asleep for a very long time, he was up every 2 hours in the night, but unlike the usual screaming he just whined a little and easily went back to sleep. So today will be some sort of weird day at te childminders and he will once again fall asleep in the car. Honestly i cant wait to go on mat leave, but thrn i will have to deal with 2 babies sleep! Ripping my hairs out here

Thank you ladies, i know its not getting better but it jut helps to get it out, because we are rather fed up talking About it at home and as calm and helpful my husband is he is at loss also with Oskars sleep. So we have had a few days without the sleep issues talk :)

Hugs hun, wish I could help you more. Sometimes you just need to not talk about these things for a day or 2 and let it be.

Id personally say on that day hes prob UT with an hours nap at that time of day  ::)  xx

Maybe things are getting a little better, cant work out the screaming in the night though.

7.15wu
12.20nap-13.05/2.42
8.10Bt

Night wakings 12.10 4.40, 7
And up for the dat at 8.05

He screamed for am hour straight when woke up at 12.10, in between was trying to fall sleep but just couldnt. Ut?

I havent limited his nap at all and although he doesnt sleep that long in his cot only next to me, with that long nap he seems to be UT at BT it took me a good 20 minutes to get him off to sleep last night.

Any teething signs? Screaming in the night always meant teething for us, or other discomfort - or possibly a nightmare?

His teeth are coming through, but he is medicated, i might try and give him meds when he wakes screaming like this to see if that makes a difference.
I cant quite work out his nap either, as he could go on forever without any tired signs.

He went down with a little crying after 5.05A but woke 30 mins later, im assuming OT resettled and then i had to wake him else he will sleep for 2.5 hours and wont be ready for bed.
At 13 months does extra 15 minutes make much of a difference to A time? I mean I can cut down his A time or just persevere with 5hoursA and see how he does

We are back to some sort of weirdness.... Not unusual, as we never sleep anyway. But before after BT we solidly got 3.5, sometime 4 hours. Bow he is up after 1.5-2 hours. Don't get it anymore, i cant believer he needs more A time? Is that what it is?

Today was

8.10wu
1nap-2.50 had to resettle him, felt like it was too early for a nap, as he wasnt pleased being in the cot at all and messed about for a while.

We had a 1year development review with the nurse and i think we both looked so exhausted she suggested that she sends us done information in regards to baby sleep. It arrived in the post today- co trolled crying. Honestly im sometimes do tempted, but i know it wont work. os been having these screaming sessions that can last an hour in the night and there is just nothing that helps. Sometimes i feed him and even that doesnt work :(
