4 months always hungry

DD2 is 17 weeks old and has always been bottle fed. She has a 6oz bottle on WU then 5oz bottles the rest of the day apart from her DF which is 6oz. The problem is she wants it every 2.5hrs sometimes every 2hrs and she will drain the bottle, if I even take the bottle away for a min to wind her she screams blue murder so now I just wind her at the end of her bottle. I have tried giving her bigger bottles but she wont take any more than 5oz during the day. It feels a bit much feeding her almost every 2 hours at 4 months.

She is just under 25 percentile for weight and 91st for height, (not sure if this makes a difference)

Have you tried a paci insteadwhen she cries after 2h?  Perhaps she justs wants to suck?

When did you last increase the amount in her bottle? What size teats are you using too?

I thought sucky to start with but the fact she's drinking the full bottle made me wonder.  She has been on 5oz for ages.  I tried increasing to 6oz a few week ago but she still just took 5oz every time.  She is ysing dr level 2 teats.

How long does it take her to drain the bottle? I would try the next teat up and see if she will take a bit more with that. It sounds like she needs to learn to take a bit more to get through to 3.5 at least.

A bottle normally takes about 10 mins.

Could be a growth spurt as well.  Mine went from happily taking 5.5 ozs every 4 hrs to a full 8 ozs at every feed for 5 days!
