NW for 1 Year old
« on: February 01, 2015, 08:10:12 am »
Hi. My DD will be 1 next week and over the last 6 weeks we have had a battle with both naps and bedtime.  She has resisted the 2nd nap and has gone from a 12hr sleeper with no wakings to a multiple waker and wants to play for 2 hrs between 11-3am.  She has this week completely dropped her pm nap which made me think the nw would stop but they haven't.  Any suggestions?

What is her schedule looking like now that she has dropped the PM nap?  Have you pushed back her only nap so it is in the middle of the day?  Is her A time before bed too long?

Sounds like you are in the midst of dropping to one nap. Take a look at this link From 2 to 1 nap transition (10-12m and older)

We also have a great support thread where you can talk to others going through a similar experience  Anyone want to talk about the 2-1 transition #27

Yes do tell us what her day looks like.  All sorts of strange stuff can happen when nap dropping, but with a bit of a tweak, should be manageable.
