NWs every 2 hr - 3mos growth spurt?

Could NWs every 2hrs be a growth spurt? DD2 normally goes with 1-2NW unless really OT but her routine was OK yesterday. She is also looking to feed more during the day.  I feel like I am feeding her constantly for past 2 days but they aren't all full feeds. I'm so paranoid about her weight and worried about supply issues but I also don't want to throw off  our normal feeding routine and create snacking habit if not really a GS iykwim?

Have you tried nursing her in a dim, quiet room? Do you feel that she is too distracted to take a full feed? Do you do a dream feed?

I am going to try this because she does bob on and off looking around at DS/DD.  I thought she was still a bit young to be distracted but it could definitely be a factor. She isn't gaining much weight so I feel like I should be feedinf her but I know this can actually make it worse. I'm struggling with this. I also believe she has a tongue tie which I just realised after reading about slow weight gain. If she is not feeding efficiently she could be wanting to feed more often. We are seeing a doctor next week so I'm not sure what to do in the meantime...?

It does sound a lot like a growth spurt. Personally I would feed when she is looking for one and worry about sorting out the routine later, after the dr appt when you have more info to go on. At such a young age nothing is going to become so ingrained that you cannot adjust it later.

Yes we had one at 3 months, then at 4 months that lasted till 6 months! We were on an elimination diet too so I appreciate the worry and how hard it is xx

Thank you!  She seemed to be settling down today with feeds closer to every 3 hours again.  Last night she only woke 2x and then an EW so better than the previous night.  I think it was a GS but will let her lead me with her feeding times until we have the appointment next week.  Hopefully she will have put on a bit of weight  :-\
