8 month EASY - Dreaded 45 minute nap returns
« on: July 11, 2015, 19:21:02 pm »
So grateful for help in the past.  The BW has never led me wrong before! :)
DD is 8 1/2 months and her naps have started to deteriorate; incidentally she has also started to lose some interest in 1-2 bottles per day, but never the same bottle.  Mercifully, she's sleeping well at night.

Our schedule had been:
7:00 Wake up -8oz bottle
8:00 Solids
9-9:30 Sleep
11:00 Up, 8oz bottle
1:00 Solids
2-2:30 Sleep
4:00 Up, 8oz bottle
6:00 Solids
7:00 Wind down, 8oz bottle
7:30 Sleep

Yesterday it was:
7:00 Wake up -8oz bottle
8:00 Solids
9:20 Sleep
10:30 Up, 1-2oz bottle
1:00 Solids
2:20- Sleep
3:10:00 Up, Held bottle until 3:45, ate all 8oz
6:00 Solids
7:00 Wind down, 4oz bottle
7:30 Sleep

I don't want to complain too much; I'm thrilled that she's sleeping well at night.  I'm concerned if her naps continue like this, her night sleep may suffer.  I'm thinking I probably need to increase her A time, especially in the morning, but I'm just not sure what that would look like.  She genuinely seems tired still, especially that afternoon nap.

TIA

And now we're having EW.
Yesterday, her naps were 9:30-10:30 and 2:30-3:15. She's been trying to get up since 6:00 this AM. Please advise.

Hi there so sorry your post got missed.  How are things now?

I think you are right on track with extending A time :). You are getting some short classic UT length first naps on a fairly low A time for her age so pushing that a bit seems a sensible step.  Then as you didn't move her second nap earlier after a shorter first nap on the second day you posted I think your afternoon nap was OT and you probably got some EWs because of that.

As you extend A times you may find the day gets a little longer and/or you have to start waking from one of the naps to fit two naps in and preserve a decent bedtime.
