Quick qs! 2 day old baby.

My lovely friend had her second baby on Monday evening, they are home and doing well. She text at 5am to say baby has been feeding all night but bone dry nappies and very unsettled- does that sound normal? I'm assuming her milk hasn't come in so would it make sense that the nappies are dry on just colostrum?
I can't remember anything about my newborns lol! Thanks

Hmm. I'm sure we had wet nappies from the start. Can she check in with her midwife?

She ended up giving baby a bit of formula which she guzzled down and then she did have a wet nappy, and I went over this morning and she'd done a poo too, so I think she's grand The midwife is going over today so she will double check with her. My poor friend's nipples are taking a serious beating though bless her, baby has a seriously strong latch- she's the most alert, strong and wriggly 2 day old I have ever met!

It does sound like the milk was still coming in. And it's very hot right now so even my DDs nappies are a lot drier than usual. Glad LO seems ok now.
