4 Hour easy with short naps
« on: July 15, 2015, 15:04:42 pm »
Hello,

My 4.5 month old (will be 5 months next week but was 3 weeks early) is on the 4 hour EASY and for the most part doing great! The only problem is sometimes his "2 hour nap times" are only 1.5 hours in length. What does one do when that happens? Get them up when they wake up, and put them down earlier for the next nap and let them try to sleep 2.5 hours to the next feed time? And just try to adjust the schedule for the rest of the day?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there - welcome to the forums!

A 1.5 hour nap is great at this age, so I would get him up, do your normal A time to the next nap and see if he sleeps longer next time.  I would say it's fine to let him nap 2.5 hours if he'll do it.  Otherwise you might need to make a few adjustments here and there to get him to BT - either by adding 15 minutes low key A time somewhere, and/or by doing a slightly EBT.

Hope that helps :)
