Help~!8 mth fighting morning nap!
« on: July 30, 2015, 00:30:08 am »
My baby will be 8 mth old next week, our typical routine is like this:

6-6:30 wake
7:00 Milk
8:00 breakfast
9:00 nap (1.5h)
11:00 milk
12:00 lunch
14:00 nap(1.5h)
15:30 milk
17:00 dinner
18:30 milk+bedtime
22:30 DF

she started to fight the morning nap for 3 days, cry and scream until 10:00 and end up rocking her to sleep like a newborn. Have no idea what is happening but I think it is too early to drop this nap.

Any ideas?

She probably just needs the nap to be a bit later in the day - 2.5-3hr A time is likely too short for an 8 month old... try shifting the nap to 9:30 or 10 or so and she may well go off to sleep much more easily. One nap may shorten around this age, so you may end up with a 1.5hr nap and a 45min-1hr nap.

when she cried, I did let her out and play for a while.  But when I send her to bed again at 10:00 she still cried. Maybe I shouldn't put her on bed at 9 in the first place? I will try tmr

Hi - how did it go? it is best to move the nap back gradually then she will hopefully go to sleep more easily.
