Separating eating from sleeping
« on: October 12, 2015, 00:56:37 am »
Baby is 7 weeks old and always falls asleep during or after a feeding. I don't know how to fix that without letting her cry. Any ideas??? Really would like to start implementing EASY

To begin EASY you need only keep her awake a minute or two after the feed, the awake time can gradually lengthen between E and S.  I'd try to keep her awake during the feed but if you can't then wake her after she has finished eating, a nappy change is often a good one to wake them, and then if it's nap time move on to your wind down.
The thing about breaking a feed to sleep habit is that you need to be prepared in yourself to put some work into getting her to sleep rather than relying on the bottle to do it.  If you are ready then LO will adapt quite quickly.
