After a mainly successful 8 months of breastfeeding my ds is now having a strike, it's been just over a week now.

He is currently going through a WW leap & possibly teething (dribbling!) He is eating three good meals a day with snacks.

Yesterday looked a bit like this

Wakes any time between 4-6
Refuses milk
9.30-11.30 nap
refuses milk
12.30 - lunch
2-3 - nap
refuses milk
5 - dinner
6.30 bed
6.45  - milk ( l've found that if l feed him sleepy he takes more)

Wakes in the middle of the night for a feed

l remember my dd having feeding strikes but don't think they were for this long!

Any advice would be gratefully received

When are the snacks in the routine? Just curious if they are before a bf and he is just full? Might be a case of backing off of solids a wee bit, though with teething in the mix it may be that as well (although I don't remember mine going off of bf for this long while teething, usually it was a couple of days of weird feeding).

The snacks were after a feed but I haven't been offering as often now as ld rather he had his milk. I'll try cutting down his portion sizes & see if that works. Thank you  :)

l've now realised that l am no longer producing much/if any milk. l've been pumping this afternoon but haven't produced enough to even cover the bottom of the bottle. How often should l pump to get my supply back up? Is there any other advice you can give me please? l'm so upset that this has happened l just want to hide!

Just because you aren't producing for a pump does not mean there is no supply. I was never a successful pumper even though I had oversupply. Could your pump need new parts? Have a look at these faq's, they have a lot of good info.

Pumping
I'm worried I may have low milk supply

I suppose l just assumed that my supply had dropped as he's still not taking much milk from me & l haven't been pumping to keep supply up. I've reduced the amount of food he eats but it hasn't made much difference. Having said that at bedtime l offered both sides as he hadn't had any milk today & he took both sides had a great feed.

Awesome that he had a great bedtime feed, how has he been since then?

Have you tried offering in the day when he is sleepy? Either the minute he wakes from a nap or when he is due one? In a dark, quiet room?

Ideally you would pump at each feed he misses to maintain supply. Do you offer the milk you pump in a bottle or cup at all?

He's still been feeding well since then. Apart from after this mornings nap when he bit me! I always offer it when he wakes, upstairs in my dark bedroom away from noise etc
