17 weeks drinking less and less
« on: January 12, 2016, 14:06:38 pm »
Hello - looking for some advice.

My son is 17 weeks today and for about two weeks now we have been struggling with EASY. In particular, he is refusing to eat more than 2-3ozs at most feeds which is throwing the whole day off course.

This is my second baby and I remember well the difficulties surrounding the transition from 3-4 hour EASY but my first was always hungry in the morning which got us off to a good start.

I have started to write down his EASY and will post this later if this gives people more of an insight but I just wondered if anyone had any ideas what might be going on?

Main problems:
After sleeping through from the DF, he wakes up between 6-7am but is not hungry - will take 3 or 4 ozs if I am lucky
After 'light' first feed he often wakes early from his first nap but again, won't take a big feed - perhaps another 3-4
By mid afternoon he can get to the point where he has only had 9ozs across three feeds and he has started to wake in the night obviously hungry?

Hope that all makes sense

Any thoughts?

Post your EASY when you can so we can see what's going on!

In the meantime, a few more questions!

What flow teat are you using at the moment and which formula are you using?

Does your baby have any digestive issues like reflux at al?
