Dropping the DF
« on: January 13, 2016, 18:55:13 pm »
Apologies if there is a thread for this already - I had a quick look and couldn't see one.

LO is 5.5 months old, and on advice of the HV we have started weaning due to reflux and a very hungry baby! He's really taken to purees (not done much BLW as he is a bit wobbly in his high chair) and is eating a good breakfast of baby porridge with fruit puree mixed in (10-15 small spoonfuls) and the same amount in the evening of veg puree, with a little protein mixed in (lentils, butterbeans etc). He feeds 5 bottles a day (2 x 7oz and 3 x 6oz) including his DF.

When and how is the best way to drop the DF? I'm terrified to change anything as our routine works so well for him but I don't want to be stuck doing a DF forever! He has taken slightly less since we introduced solids (4-5oz instead of the usual 6oz), do I follow his lead? He's the sort of baby that will eat just because it's there  ::) TIA xx
