19 mo Sleepy in the morning

DS is 19 months old. We have a great bt routine and he goes down around 645 or 7 and sttn until 615/630ish. The problem is he is usually ready for a nap again around 930. Is this odd? Today he even wanted to get in his crib at 915 and he played and rolled around (quietly, I was just peaking in on him from time to time) for like an hr. I feel bad leaving him in there but hes happy and asked to be in there. Anyone else had this? Its just so weird to me coming from having a spirited DD that fought naps and bed time constantly. Hes definitely a snuggly cuddle bug. After his early nap hes fine for the most part. He gets a little tired around 330 but nothing crazy. Should I just appreciate this or is it weird???

Has he already dropped all naps, or did I mis-read the post? If he needs a little quiet time to himself I wouldn't fight it, particularly if it doesn't interrupt his sleep. It's great that he can recognize that he needs a little quiet time.

He still takes one nap and it's usually super early in the am around 930. He takes about 2 hrs. I guess like you said he just knows when he needs his quite time. It's just so strange going from a crazy spirited dd to such a mild mannered (until I try and put clothes or socks on him) kid!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! The great thing with him napping earlier is you can still do lots of stuff for the rest of the day. If ever you want to push it out a bit, just try 30 mins at a time.

My DD liked quiet time in a dark room and still does. She will ask to go to her room if she's feeling overstimulated! I think some LOs just need more down time than others.
