Ok to cap every nap?!
« on: February 20, 2016, 11:08:48 am »
At the moment I am having to cap every nap to keep bedtime at 7pm and fit round school runs. Is that OK or can it do more harm than good?
Currently we are like this
Wu 7am
S 9.30 til 11
S 1.30 til 3
S 5 til 5.30/5.45
Bt 7

Can it cause ot to wake from every nap or is it OK if they are getting enough during the day? He doesn't seem to mind being woken but is going through a very whiney phase and it crossed my mind it maybe tiredness but I don't know.

I would say generally it's ok if you know the routine suits and he is basically well slept.  If you feel unsure maybe allow an extra 15 mins nap on somewhere, perhaps try it at the weekend when there is no school run to see how things pan out?  2 days may not be long enough to tell but then again it might, you could see if he is either in a better mood or if BT ends up tricky to get him down.
