11 Month Old Night Feed
« on: April 05, 2016, 04:51:36 am »
Hello,  I have an almost 11 month old who is still having one night feed. Occasionally he will go without it but never consistently. He wakes at different time for it, anything from 00:30 to around 05:00 and always finishes 8oz. This makes me think that it is genuine hunger. But after 11 months of broken sleep I'd really like him to drop this feed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, no personal experience here I'm afraid, but if you could post your EASY, including all his milk and solid feeds and naps, then others will have a clearer picture of what might be going on, and be able to help you :-*

Oh yes sorry, we've diverted a bit from EASY to fit his bottles in and keep things consistent even when he's at the childminder but this is what we do, he's reasonably consistent during the day now but nighttime and wake ups are still very varied.

7:00 Wake Up
7:30 Breakfast (Solids)
10:00 8oz bottle
10:15/10:30 - 12:00 Nap
12:30 Lunch (Solids)
15:00 8oz bottle
15:15/15:30 - 17:00 Nap
17:30 Dinner (Solids)
19:30/20:00 8oz bottle and bedtime

My DS was consistently feeding once a night at that age. He started STTN for 5/6 nights a week around 12-13 months. I was too lazy to sleep train - he just did it on his own.

Around 8 months, I got tired for feeding DD at night so I did do a bit of ST. I just patted and rubbed her back (she did cry the whole time) to let her know I was there. It took about 4 or 5 nights but then she started STTN pretty consistently.
DD - August 2012
DS - November 2014
