Long Car Trips

My LO will be 27 weeks when we take a vacation with a 7 hour drive. I was wondering if others had better success taking long car trips with their baby overnight, hoping they get sufficient night sleep in the car, or during the day. Thanks!

Hi there
If you're happy to drive at night then IIWM I'd def go for that option so your LO is asleep and doesn't get bored. Or do some of the driving at night (e.g. get up v early).
Have you seen this thread?
Long distance road trips BY CAR - activities and tips - let's share!
Your LO will still be very young though so maybe lots of the options aren't that suitable but you might find something. Would you be able to sit next to your LO in the car (e.g. to pass toys, sing with her, talk with her...)?

No, I had not seen that thread. Thank you for sharing. I like the idea of getting up really early and driving for some of the night!
