I did a LOT of verbal in the early hours, he'd call to get up and I'd call back that "It's night time. go. to. sleep."
I also worked with the timer lights and a remote controlled light.
I also accepted later BT (8pm when we were on a regular routine. Eventually BT refusal meant falling to sleep gone 9pm but that was during the 6 months he was preparing to nap drop).
There actually was a thread somewhere when clocks were changing, I say in it that I've not long managed to get WU closer to 6.30 and am not prepared to go back to 5.30 WUs again because of the clocks. In that instance I moved his day on something like 1.5-2hrs (not 1hr) to achieve a later WU (and I did it rapidly like 30 min per day not 15mins) and once he slept late enough I brought BT a bit earlier slowly.
