19mth 445am EWs, full house, at wits end..
« on: July 03, 2016, 04:45:14 am »
Hi,

Our DS3 is certainly the boss of the house, and Altho we have had an eventful 19 maths of sleep routine with him it looked sorted and is now sliding backwards and I can't take the thought of it again!

We think he was LSN, but for a variety of reasons, mainly our fault, he never really slept through until 12-14 months, as we fed him if there was any nighttime shouting so he didn't wake DS1 or DS2.

Anyway, at 14 mths we transitioned 2-1 naps, and got 7-7 with 1hr ish nap for 3 months. Then lately it has been 7-6 at night with 45min - 1hr15 nap, but last 2-4 weeks have just been ridiculous.

His day before this was
WU 6
Nap 12-1
BT 7

But lately he is waking btwn 450- 515, usually the former, even with APOP for nap it's still 1hr at best, usually 1130-1230, then BT again at 7.

Is there anything we can do?Yes he's been teething for months, and a good few thru, but even with this usually stuck to his routine.

It feels like habit now his waking. We are so scared as he has a serious set of lungs on him and is shouting right away and occasionally wakes his brothers at that early time, which is a double/triple nightmare for their days.

Any tweaks we should make? Everyone in the house is affected, we have no choice but to get up with him at this early hour as the fallout would be too great to let him shout and try and lay down some rules...

Thanks in advance, advice or experience would be so helpful and much appreciated.

I think TBH you won't see an improvement if you keep getting him up. At that age although he won't totally get something like a gro clock it would be good to have a prop to be able to say 'still night time baby, back to sleep'

Anything waking him at that time? Light coming in or heating coming on?

You could try wake to sleep about 4.30 and see would that get him through that waking.

Is be a totally independent sleeper?

Hugs. You must be exhausted xx
