9 month old naps
« on: July 18, 2016, 21:48:59 pm »
Hello! So my daughter has been a great a napper for awhile now.. as soon as i think it it changes though~! She is starting to wake early fro her naps, and doesnt seem to go back to sleep. I know she needs more sleep as she gets crankier/crabbier earlier. Right now sometimes her wake times are 2-2.5 hours.. we have alot of summer pick ups etc so schedule looks like this:

wake 7am
nap 930
wake 11
nap 1-130
wake 3 ish sometimes fusses earlier and just sits there
bed time 7-730 (goal)

2-2.5h is a super-short awake time for 9 months.  Have you tried moving her naps a bit later?  A typical 6-7 month routine might be

WU 7
Nap 10-11.30
Nap 2.30-4
BT 7

Or at 8-10 months

WU 7
Nap 10.30-12
Nap 3.30-4.30
BT 7.30 ie longer A times and slightly less day sleep

Just some ideas :)

My DD was doing 3h at 5.5 months ;) it's pretty average for a 6-7 month old. You don't have to jump there all at once, try an extra 10-15 mins to begin with and then see where they gets you. You can always increase again x
