10 month old capping long nap???
« on: September 14, 2016, 15:51:29 pm »
Hi everyone I need some advice, Lo is 10 months old and has always been a great napper, she can just about do a four hour awake time, so from wu say of today, as it can vary, she went to bed st 10am. I am not aiming for a long am nap due to school run, however she will most of the time do a 2-2.5hr nap in the am, so she woke at 12.30 so now when I have gone to do a 15/20 min cn she just screams, should I even be capping her long nap? Or just do ebt on days like today?

Tia

Hi there!

Isn't the 2-1 fun  ;). How long after her nap are you trying for the cn? Also how long is her cn usually?

You want to hang onto that cn for as long as possible as often LO's who jump to 1 nap early often end up in a horrible OT mess.
If she refuses could you try for a car nap maybe or buggy? I'm at an almost identical place as you with my dd2 and I will often put her in the car for that cn (although not great with a 3yo who then starts to nod off too!)

Otherwise you may need to cut that am nap back a little so that she's more willing to take the cn and failing all that then EBT for sure!

Thank you with 3 5 years and under it's hard to get her in the car etc with the others! I was worried about capping the nap incase she still refuses, although she doesn't usually refuse if she's tired! Will try capping at 2 hours and hope for the best! School runs mess everything up! X
