Hi all.
I'm a first time mum and my one year old daughter has been sleeping badly the last few weeks. She has 2 naps a day and used to sleep 11 hours a night with minimal disturbance, but is now waking early (5-6am) and refusing to go to sleep at bed time which is usually 7:30pm (taking 30-60 mins to settle, then waking again an hour or two later).
Her routine is...(or used to be, lol)...
6:30 wake and bottle
8 breakfast
9:30 nap
10:30 - 11:30 wake and bottle
12:30 lunch
2:30 nap
3:15-4 wake and bottle
4:30 snack
6 dinner
7 bottle
7:30 bed
She doesn't generally fight her naps, but the afternoon one is usually short (30-45 mins). She seems to 'wind up' after tea and gets really energetic and screams the house down for 30-60 mins when I put her to bed. She will often wake crying again an hour or two later and need resettling.
She starts stirring in bed between 4 &5 am, then will wake up crying around 5, she usually goes back to sleep, but is restless in bed until waking happy at 6:30.
I'm not sure whether she's ready to transition from 2 naps to 1, if this is a sleep regression, or if she's actually getting over tired.
Any advice and suggestions would be appreciated.
