Accidental naps - how to arrange around them?
« on: January 05, 2018, 13:54:56 pm »
Hello everyone! DS2 is 5mo, routine is alright with some twists  ;D
I'm just wondering how to manage him when he takes a when he's not supposed to. Trying my best to keep him up for the whole A time since we've had issues with short naps, but he falls asleep pretty much every time he's in the car, even if he's only been awake a short time. I don't mind of course, but should I treat them as catnaps and keep him awake for a full (maybe shorter) A time after that, feeding at the same time, or would that mean slightly earlier feed..? I try to fit car trips at correct nap times, but it doesn't always work and it's sometimes a short nap anyway... Thanks for any tips!

Hi :)
If he's had a short UT nap by accident, its easiest to just do another full A time minus perhaps 10-15mins and then pop him down for a nap/BT depnding upon time of day. I'd feed on WU myself, just as that's the sequence and keeps things predictable but you can certainly wait if he's not going to take a decent feed.
