12 month old not wanting breakfast
« on: September 13, 2018, 07:03:10 am »
Hello my lo is 12 months next week and has a morning bottle of 7oz (5oz cows milk 2oz formula) and an evening bottle of 8oz (half and half) and 3 meals and 2 snacks.

The last few weeks she's slowly been declining her breakfast and now is hardly eating any of it. I thought it could be teeth at first as her molars are coming as she was doing it for all meals and snacks and just chucking her food all over the floor. Now she is eating the other meals but won't really eat breakfast. She has her bottle when she wakes up (about 6.30/6.40) and breakfast an hour later. I'm not sure if I should decrease her bottle to get her to eat breakfast or accept this could be a phase or teeth still. Thank you

My DD did this when she turned 1. The solution that worked for us was to swap milk and breakfast around. She had cereal when she woke and then I gave toast or another snack with a sippy of milk mid-morning - helped with the transition off the bottles too!

That's a good idea - I'll try swapping them. Thank you 😊
